My pledge to residents in social housing

I've grown up in social housing, so I know what it's like.

When I was growing up, my family lived in awful conditions such as having a mouldy bathroom and at one time, a wasp infestation. Since I became a Tandridge District Councillor, I tried to make sure no one has to live in these conditions.

I'm proud of what I've done for residents, from getting the authorities to take action on mould, infestations and neglect, to ensuring families in temporary accommodation live in good conditions.

And I'm not afraid to hold the authorities to account where this isn't the case.

In Horley East & Salfords, I want to continue this work and will strive to ensure that every resident lives in decent conditions.
