Residents in the villages of Dorking Hills have raised concerns with me about the frequency of post being delivered. Which is often every three weeks or longer in some places.
A variety of time sensitive letters including hospital appointment confirmations, bills, wedding invitations and other correspondence is not being delivered in time. With so many residents reliant on the postal network to communicate with relatives and local authorities, this cannot go on.
I've raised concerns directly with the highest levels of Royal Mail about the impact of the lack of post in the area covered by Dorking Delivery Office and asked them to sort it out.
If you have any concerns you'd like me to take up with Royal Mail directly, please feel free to get in touch and I will raise it with them.
