About Taylor

I was born and grew up in Tandridge, growing up in social housing in Bletchingley before moving to Caterham, then to Horley. I was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3 and was educated at a special needs school, but I see my autism as a superpower. This is because it gives me a fresh perspective in tackling issues others may not see!

My achievements include successfully ensuring care leavers in Tandridge were exempt from paying Council Tax until they turn 25, ensuring everyone regardless of physical ability is able to access playgrounds, and delivering positive change for my community.

I'm a passionate and committed community activist, serving as the Tandridge District Councillor for Westway since May 2021. I helped with the successful campaigns to elect a Conservative MP for East Surrey in 2019, Conservative Police & Crime Commissioner for Surrey in 2021, a Conservative County Councillor for Caterham Hill in 2021 and several Conservative Councillors in Horley, Croydon, Reigate and Tandridge. In my day job, I work in Communications.

I believe in working with our communities to help them thrive and inspiring people to be the very best they can be. My aim is to make the world a better place to live in and I'm keen to play my part by serving my community.
