I have been working with Cllr Jeremy Webster and Surrey Highways officers to fix the potholes along Rook Lane and towards Alderstead Heath.
There a number of areas along the road which have been affected by potholes which Surrey Highways have attended and fixed but because of the weather conditions, with the road being wet, then freezing then being wet again, these repairs haven't worked as well as we'd hoped. More repairs are scheduled to take place along Rook Lane, including repairs to the junction by Chaldon Common Road happening today (13 January).
We want to reassure residents that we are doing an awful lot of work behind the scenes and Jeremy has walked from Hilltop Lane to Alderstead Heath on several occasions to try and convey the message to Surrey that the potholes need to be fixed.
