It was lovely to join Michelle Watson in Beare Green earlier today, where we met residents to discuss local issues affecting the village.
We discussed anti-social behaviour in the village and saw a vandalised window at Holmwood Station which Michelle has taken up with Govia Thameslink Railway, who operate the station. Alongside this, we also noted a fire extinguisher and lots of plastic was thrown into the pond, which we are chasing to get cleaned up.
While at Holmwood Station, we found a second defibrillator in Beare Green at the station on the London-bound platform. The other defibrillator is at the Beare Green Village Hall.
Of course, we also discussed road safety and speeding on the A24 which I will be chasing up Surrey Highways on so watch this space.
Overall, it was really nice to spend time with Michelle and local residents, and look forward to being back in Beare Green very shortly to speak to residents about the progress we're making in addressing their issues.
