Update on fly tipping in the community

Fly tipping continues to be a concern to residents with rubbish being dumped on rural roads and in the vicinity of bottle banks.

This has led to Tandridge District Council taking steps to remove recycling banks at Manor Park, Soper Hall and Whyteleafe Station Road and Town End car parks. If you have additional recycling, you can place a clear plastic bag next to your bin on collection day or order another recycling bin from Tandridge for free.

It's really sad that the Council has had to remove the recycling banks because of the actions of a minority and I'm keen to work with fellow Councillors to stamp out fly tipping in the community.

There has also been instance of fly tipping on rural roads such as Picketts Lane and Hathersham Lane, with the rubbish dumped in a way that blocks the road. I am keen to work with residents and local authorities to tackle this.

If you see any fly tipping, please report it to Tandridge here. If you live in Reigate & Banstead, you can report it here.
