I am delighted to share that Michael Crescent Play Area has opened after being refurbished by Horley Town Council. It's so lovely to see the new equipment in place, and I am particularly impressed with the bucket seat swing and the quiet area with sensory activities for neurodiverse children to retreat to if overstimulated. And of course, the accessible surfaces.

Having campaigned to make more playgrounds accessible and inclusive for all for some time, I am very happy that Horley Town Council have taken this step forward to provide inclusive play equipment. Thank you to Cllr Samantha Marshall as Chairman of the Leisure and Amenities Committee for her work on this.

It goes without saying that I will be making the case to the local authorities to get more inclusive and accessible playgrounds in place in Horley, Salfords and indeed across Reigate and Banstead.

If you'd like to read more about my work to campaign for inclusive and accessible playgrounds, you can do so here.
