Day travelcard saved

Earlier this week, it was announced that the Day Travelcard was being saved.

This is fantastic news for residents who travel from Surrey to get to Central London. Removing this would have created a further barrier for travel into our capital city from the home counties. Scrapping the day travelcard would have cost £9.30 for every day trip into London and could have had a negative impact on London's economy.

It is good news that it has been saved. Thank you to everyone who campaigned to save the Day Travelcard since the Mayor announced the proposal.
